Time flies…

Crazy how much time has gone by since my last tumblr post!

This is interesting
bloody-truth:

My psychology teacher showed us this picture in class and spent a good 10 minutes talking about how depression is a disorder, a mental disease, not a choice, etc. I respect him so much for that.

I’m an Alpha Xi Delta! :) I just graduated in december and miss it so much! Advice: dont let yourself get wrapped up in stereotypes, etc., it’ll take all the fun of meeting new friends. All you do is follow your heart and it won’t let you down. My chapter was literally the best decision I ever made, yours can be any of the 3 chapters you’ll have at your school!

Um YES, lots of helpful hints! I rushed as a junior when I transferred schools to get a fresh start and completely get involved. Not only did I get an Executive Board position a year after I joined, I met my best friends ever, let greek letters completely influence and build me to the person that I am today and I got to enjoy the best years of my life- the college years! I dove into greek life by getting involved and meeting lots of people, I volunteered to help with all sorts of philanthropy events, sat in on council meetings to see how to get more involved, and literally went to every sisterhood event, philanthropy event (by us or other greek chapters on campus), and hung out with everyone in the chapter and got to know them. Basically…it’s ALL about the effort you put in. I’ve seen girls come and go, those are the ones who just skim the surface, don’t really go to anything and just pay the dues to say they’re greek. If you want an amazing experience and some genuinely great memories then go through rush and give it a chapter a shot! Also, be open minded when going through Rush! Sorry so much info but I just loved my greek life experience and love talking about it with others!! Let me know if you have any questions! And good luck! Oh…and do some research about greek life at the school you plan on going to in the fall, it’ll give you some insight on what to prepare yourself for come august/september! :) GOOD LUCK :)
